That's a good one. Here's a Netflix user's review of Seven Samurai that had me laughing:

"I was ready to watch the movie and entertain myself but for my surprise I started to see a narrator to discribe the film and how they made it.how they position the personages, how the actors was suposed to move, and the narrator keep talking to the end of the movie. I was looking for action, fun, and some kung-fu, but instead they show me how was made. Is like watching the extras episodes in any movie, where the director and actors talk about the movie and technologie used to make it. Maybe I would apreciate it more if I knew that I was going to watch a kind of documentary, japan story and art of making films. I was desapointed."

Sorry, I had no idea the discussion threads were only visible to people with accounts. I assumed that those were only necessary for posting comments. Thanks for quoting the messages, Frank. Kyle - that NetFlix one is hysterical. I wonder if they get a lot of comments complaing about how everybody in the movie looks tall and skinny? [IMG]

Is that for commentary boy for his post, or me for not knowing that only registered users would be able to read it? [IMG]

It's for the guy who sounded upset that the director was talking over the movie. [IMG]

"Damn! there he goes again!!! Shhhhh! I'm trying to hear the movie!!!"

I wonder if part of this guy's problems could be that his DVD player just started playing the commentary, without his having selected the option. Mine occasionally does that, apparently to keep me on my toes. I have had foreign language tracks start playing, or foreign language subtitles all without having selected them! Fortunately, unlike our hero, I hit the menu button and managed to get my DVD player to behave itself. It usually takes some filthy words, and threats of what I am going to do to it if it does NOT shape up, but I do win most of the time.
