The TAP900ES is a high fidelity pure audio multi-channel pre-amplifier based on the 9000 series design. It is equipped with two inputs for 5.1 analog multi-channel audio sources, enabling selection, volume control, and amplification of extremely high quality. Discrete Amplifier Circuitry The TAP9000ES features fully discrete amplifier construction. Instead of collective amplifier circuitry, separate transistors, resistors and capacitors are used for each channel. One benefit of discrete configuration is, first and foremost, the assurance of the best possible quality. In addition, it also enables the construction of an amplifier with superior driving power.

As with the Marantz AV9000 Sonys TA-P9000 has been around awhile, 1998 or so. How old is it? Had any upgrades? Why are you selling it? $375.00 seems cheap for this piece. . .
