    Sherbourn 5/1500, 5x200 watt per channel monoblock amplifier. This is the original Sherbourn 5 channel amp. It differs from the newer 5/1500A in that it is bridgable, has manually selectable clipping protection on each channel, a DB-25 input, 5 LEDs on the front panel and no balanced inputs (RCA only).
    Specifications:
    * 200 wpc @ 8 ohms, 300 wpc @ 4 ohms.
    * No more than 0.03% THD from 20-20000Hz with all channels driven.
    * Power bandwidth 5Hz to 75kHz.
    * Gain 30dB
    * Signal to Noise Ratio 100dB/Wide band 110dB/A-weighted.
    * Input impedence 40 kilohms.
    * High level sensitivity 1100 millivolts.
    * Dynamic headroom 1.3dB.
    * Power supply 110v/60Hz or 220v/50Hz.
    * Width 17.7", depth 17.7", height 7".
    * Weight 62lbs.
    Front and rear R/L channels are bridgable for a total of 400 watts per channel into 8 ohms for stereo operation. This is a VERY powerful and neutral amplifier. You've probably heard its praises sung here at HTF. Very clean sound with good low-end punch, open midrange and accurate highs. Sounds wonderful for both home theater and 2 channel listening. Amplifier is used with approximately 200 hours of use and I purchased it as a demo. The unit is in immaculate, like new condition. It has just been serviced by Sherbourn and given a clean bill of health. I'm selling because I had an opportunity to buy a 5/1500A for a fantastic price and wanted the balanced inputs. Includes original box, packing materials and manual.
    Price is $1000 *including* Fedex Ground shipping anywhere in the continental US.

    Why did it need to be serviced?

    Jeff - Instead of using a 12 volt trigger to turn on and off, the Sherbourn senses voltage on any of the 5 RCA inputs from the preamp/processor. You leave the front panel power switch on and after 10 minutes or so of no input voltage, the amp goes into standby mode. The amp was not doing this, so I sent it in to Sherbourn and they replaced the sensing board. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

    Ron Fone, the president of Sherbourn Technologies, is very helpful, very customer service oriented and a nice guy to boot.

    Doug,

    You look like you gotta a serious case of upgradeitis. Everyday something of yours pops up here. You better see a doctor ASAP.

    BTW, another bump for Doug. I bought an Acurus amp from him. He's honest and trustworthy. Buy with confidence.

    Bump. I've had several interested parties but no firm commitments yet. She's still available. Offer has been modified to include shipping.

    Sherbourn 5/1500 seeks new home.
    Same details as Doug's ad. Unit is currently at Sherbourn to upgrade front panel LED's, and a mod to the grounding architechture that brings the design to current spec's.
    Will be returned with new boxes, packing and paperwork.
    And Doug's comment regarding Ron Fone bears repeating. No finer gentleman or more principaled, creditable businessman will you find anywhere.

    $1000.00 * FED EX Ground Shipment within the 48 at my expense.

    Selling to finance (more!) Sherbourn mono bloc's.
    Thank you all for your consideration.
