I got two of these subs from a DIY specialist on this same forum and I need to sell one because two is too much for my ears...and house foundation. Asking $300 for the complete sub (local sale - Northridge/Los Angeles). For the two subs he spent over $900 for the two for just the materials and parts not to mention his research, skills, and labor.
Enclosures are MDF/Baltic birch with Maple. veneer and solid wood facing. about 28Hx14.5Wx16.5D.
The drivers are very high excursion, low distortion, low LE (3.0). with about 2.2L of linear displacement each.
T/S:
xmax=25-27mm each way
Fs=27.92
Re=3.02
Qms=5.81
Qes=.68
Qtc=0.609
Vas=50.1
Mms=215
Bl=14.12
1w1m=84
2.83V=88.2
Le=3mH

From the original maker/seller: "In comparison to AV12, this driver has just slightly less Vd than the AV-12 (rated at 2.3Lea using the correct xmax in the calculation) but they do not have the power handing or linearity of this sub. The AV12 uses a conventional motor and this sub uses a very comparable motor to XBL2 for measurably more linearity. This driver has the extra cooling below the spider. This allows the coil to cool a little better on the upstroke."
Dimensions:
Cutout: 11.13"
Diameter: 12.5" ,Depth 7.3"
4ohm nominal, 3.04 ohm measured w/ DCR.
If you want to audition the sub or pick it up locally (Northridge/Los Angeles) you can email me to arrange an appointment. I have a 350W Rythmik amp to drive the sub but if you have an amp that you want to test it with that is perfectly fine.
