Haven't used this in quite some time so I decided to sell it off.
Is in excellent condition and comes w/remote....no manual...
$350.00 plus shipping takes it.....worth considerably more based on the one's i've seen here and at eBay..SOLD
Would consider a trade for digital camera of equal value.
    For $550.00 I'll throw in a Kenwood VR2090 AC3,DTS receiver.

Stan I have a Pioneer CLD-D703 (with AC-3 out) player right now. What kind of imptovements would your CLD-79 give me?

Not being familiar with your particular model I really don't know what improvements if any it might make.
It would however improve my financial situation!!

This unit has a built in RF demodulator or it has an AC-3 out? There is a big difference.

There were NO LD players made with a built in demodulator. There was one company (precisionlaser) that talked about building an add on one (internal) but never went ahead with it.

The 703 (with AC-3 output added) unit is the same as the 704. The Elite will give a "marginal" increase in video performance, not sure if you would be able to tell though. The Elite 79 is much prettier though :)

    Regards
    Gregg

I didnt think it did but the wording in your ad makes it seem as if it does, to me at least

    Stan,

Does this unit have an aftermarket AC-3 demodulator added? This is different than an aftermarket AC-3 output jack.

BTW, AC-3 output is only via COAX / RCA connector. Optical output is for digital output only (which doesnt include AC-3).

BTW, did I mention that this is a great price??

Pretty decent price, that's about the price that a CLD-704 goes for. To my knowledge there is not too much of a difference between this and a 703/704 in PQ to a CLD-79. But the cosmetics of the 79 are much better!
