I have upgraded to a Pioneer Elite DV-47Ai DVD player because I recently bought a HDTV. This player is about 3 years old and is not progressive scan. It does not play MP3.

This DVD player looked great on my new HDTV, but I also upgraded for the DVD-A and SACD audio capabilities of my new player.

Anyone who is interested in a great non-progressive scan DVD player, read the specs at the link provided. This is a great unit!!
