    Hi!
I must sell my Sony W400Q (tought times) so I am doing for $200 plus shipping. THe unit needs a blue polarizer which is $150 from Sony (they are in stock) and I can even install it for you if you want. Even as a back up or parts for another W400Q this is a good deal. Just consider if the prism goes dead in your current W400(hopefully still around) the replacement will be insanely expensive...think buying a new entry level DLP type of money! I am only selling it cause I really need the money.
    Regards

    S O L D !

All LCD projectors have "colored cellophanes", red, green, and blue, respectively over the LCD panels. THe LCD display process works using polarization, the panel pixels polarize one way or another while a second plate over them has a fixed polarization. When a pixel is polarized at right angles to how the second plate is polarized, you get "black". In the LCD projector the "colored cellophane" and the "second plate" are the same thing. It can become bleached over time given the intensity of the projection light beam. Fortunately in most cases you can slide out the faded plate and slide in another.

Oops! [IMG] Still want the picture? The last movie I saw was Man on Fire and you get used to the green cast but it will be cool if you can see it live.

Take a look at this old pictures (no camera at the moment, sorry couldnt find one with my friends) and you will see the problem. That was my W400Q projecting a 8' wide screen and a cheap $100 camera. Right now it covers more areas of the image.
