I think our hunt is now complete looking for the right Direct TV receivers to fit our needs.
But now my storage room looks like a small electronics store.
Here's what I’ve got before I post them on ebay.
1 RCA DRD420RE I have the manual but no remote, no card, $25. (interactive winked system)
1 RCA DRD420RE I have the manual and remote with access card $90 (interactive winked system) SOLD
1 RCA DRD440RE This is brand new, caller id, remote, this was part of the DS4440 system, I used the 18x24 dish. $65, no card, (NOT interactive winked) SOLD
1 Mitsubishi SR-SD1 Dolby Digital, has both optical-coax outs, also D-VHS firewire, rf/ir, no card, Made by Hughes just like the E45 $120. (NOT interactive winked) I never used this it's new, but I can not locate the manual, all manuals can be down-load online. SOLD
1 RCA DRD480RE Dolby Digital, caller id, rf/ir, access card, manual. $145. (interactive winked system) SOLD

What's interactive winked system? Also, if I have a dish with Dual LNB, would I be able to run a line and have the DRD480RE with the access card work out of the box fine? thanks

All new RCA's have this wink.
If you have a dual lnb now, Yes just hook up the cable to this RCA and your on your way.
RCA will trade you a new card for the old.
They will send it out over night FedEX.
Sometimes they charge $20, many times they will waive that.
