I have a Sammy T165 OTA HDTV receiver for sale. It was only used for about 4 months or so with GREAT success. I'm switching to DirecTV, so I'd like to get rid of this box. It comes with original remote and owners manual. I'd like to get $450 for it SHIPPED. Thanks for looking.

BTW, it's a long shot, but if someone wants to trade for a DirecTV HD receiver let me know. We can possibly work something out.

Mike, I have a Toshiba DST 3000 Direct TV Tuner that I only use for OTA reception. I'd be interested in a trade with you for the Samsung. Bob

Thanks for the reply Bob. I'm hoping to get a Zenith SAT520/Sony HD200 or a Samsung TS160. I'll let ya know if I can't work anything else out.

It has both 8VSB AND QAM (cable) tuners?

Sorry, I'm not quite sure on whether it does both 8VSB and QAM. In fact, I'm not even totally sure what both are. I'm looking at the manual right now. The box DOES have an input for cable TV. A note at the bottom of the page says, "The STB can receive DTV signals in teh event that a local cable provider is passing 8VSB through on their system." Does that help at all?

QAM is the standard for HD cable (in the clear).

That statement doesn't make sense what is on the box. 8VSB is for OTA, not cable.
