Selling my Denon AVR-5800 receiver, in awesome condition, including the Aktis remote and docking station, original AVR-5800 manual, original Aktis manual and original box for $1950. Bought from a Denon authorized dealer (see info from Denon below) and is under warranty. Would consider selling for $1800 without the Aktis remote/docking station included.
I'm selling because I'm going to separates, not because this receiver doesn't have an incredible amount of power and sound quality, but due to some strange equipment I'm trying to integrate. I can attest to the loseless component video switching of this unit as I've been switching an HDTV Receiver and DVD player and the picture is rock solid, clean and sharp.
You can check feedback about me on eBay under WynsWrld98 and you won't be disappointed! MSRP of this unit is $3799.
Please e-mail me at [email protected] with any questions. Here are the specs...

That is a great price, too bad you dont offer financing. I showed the wife last night what a great price that was and she would not let me take the money out of the savings for it. Good luck selling it, am sure it will be gone soon.

okay all you potential bank robbers. I know the Denon is a great piece of equipment but I don't know if it's worth going to jail over! But I know us a/v enthusiasts need our "fixes" by any means possible... :D

Why don't you keep it and use it as your preamp. That way you only need to buy a 3 channel amp for the fronts while you run the rears off the receivers rear amp channels.

That's what I would do.

I added the following important info about buying a Denon unit that was purchased from a DENON AUTHORIZED dealer. The following is from Denon's website (www.denon.com):
WARNING TO VALUED CONSUMERS:
The warranty on DENON Electronics products is NOT VALID if the products have been purchased from and unauthorized dealer/on-line E-tailer or if the original factory serial number has been removed, defaced or replaced in any way. Recently DENON Electronics has become aware of numerous instances in which such serial number tampering has occurred. Unauthorized dealers/on-line E-tailers and/or their suppliers frequently alter the serial numbers in an effort to prevent manufacturers from tracing the supplier source. DENON Electronics sell products through authorized retail to and on-line channels to insure that consumers obtain quality pre-sale and after-sale support and service. PROTECT YOUR WARRANTY. Buy from an authorized DENON Electronics dealer/E-tailer. Check the unit and its packaging to determine whether the factory serial number may have been altered. If in doubt, call DENON Electronics at (973)396-0810.
