Perhaps a price for each piece, and some further detail would go a long way here.

    Sure, sorry about that:

    The Denon AVR-1700 features:

The Denon AVR-1700 features Dolby Pro-Logic; Dolby Digital; 70W/channel stereo and surround modes into 8 1/2; total of eight Surround Modes: Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro-logic, 5CH Stereo, Matrix, Mono Movie, Rock Arena, Jazz Club, and Video Game.

Bass and treble tone controls; bi-wiring front (Left/Centre/Right) speaker terminals; 40 preset FM/AM RDS tuner; learning remote control. 7x analogue audio input pairs (includes a MM turntable pair); 3x analogue output pairs; 4x pre-outputs; 5.1 external decoder inputs.

4x composite video inputs; 3x outputs. 3x digital inputs - 1x TOSink optical, 2x coaxial electrical S/P-DIF PCM & Dolby Digital bitstream. AM (spring clips) & FM (751/2 coaxial) antenna connections. Asking $185 obo

The Yamaha Natural Sound RX-V492 features:

The RX-V492 is a 5-channel receiver providing superb Pro Logic performance and processing and Yamaha's Digital Sound Field Processing, and Cinema DSP. Discrete power transistors rather than IC chips are used in the amplifier section to provide the cleanest sound possible. The amp delivers 70 watts each to the three front channels and 20 watts each to the rear surround channels. Yamaha's acclaimed YSS-203 chip provides Digital Pro Logic with full channel separation and no front-to-back bleedthrough as well as 35mm Cinema DSP.

Yamaha's exclusive Digital Sound Field Processing for music recreates the acoustic personalities of actual concert halls and other venues. 35mm Cinema DSP multiplies the effects of Dolby Pro Logic and Yamaha DSP to provide the best possible Pro Logic movie theater recreation in your home.

The center channel and subwoofer have pre-out connections. This allows you to add outboard amplification to the center channel and direct subwoofer connection. You can easily add a second center channel speaker. This is especially convenient for large-room systems or for those using a big screen or projection TV.

The RX-V492 incorporates three sets of audio-only inputs and three pairs of A/V inputs. Yamaha's famed low impedance drive circuitry is included in this receiver so that it can handle virtually all loads and a wide variety of speakers. For further speaker matching, the amplifier can be set for either 4- or 8-ohm speakers. The advantage of full range, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, damping is that it improves the definition and resolution of the sound output throughout the audible frequency range.

Yamaha's heavy-duty binding post speaker terminals accept banana plugs, spade connectors, and a variety of speaker wire, including heavy gauge cable. Asking $95 obo
