New Lower Price!! Talk about a tough crowd...

Barco Graphics 800 CRT Projector

8" liquid-cooled CRTs, 825 lumens. Purchased from Curt Palme so it has all the CP mods for reliability. With a copy of the manual. Bought this a year ago, ceiling mounted it, then realized I didn't have the time to set it up properly. Only turned on a few times for basic alignment. Some minor damage to the plastic lid hinges, which doesn't affect the picture. No visible burn on tubes.

$700 + shipping

I'm willing to trade. Right now I'm in the market for some gear for my new "lighter" home theater.

Specifically an LCD friendly (grey) projector high-contrast screen, and a DTS-ES/EX/6 or 7 channel receiver, such as the Denon 3802 (or comparable). Also I still need an LCD projector, I'm looking towards the Epson TW100 or similar 16:9 (this CRT plus cash for something like that), or, hey I could go for an anamorphic lens too.

Feel free to email me with any offers.

I have a Barco 800 and it isn't very loud at all, especially mounted on the ceiling.. It is about as loud as my Crest amp I use for my subs. I bought one from Curt Palme as well, and he will support the projector for life and is a great guy.. Im lucky that he is local for me.. He is selling them for over $1500 CDN so this is a great deal for an HD compatible CRT..

Here's some rather bad pictures I took now that I got my aging DC120 working... check out the home-made 'no ceiling holes' mount :) The image is waaay brighter than the pictures show, I could practically read in the room with just the PJ's picture.

Here are some quick whitepaper specs:

(P.S.: Kevin... I'm pretty visually sensitive, on my Mitsu 60" RPTV I used to get irritated at the green 'shadows' next to bright parts of the image, esp. if you moved your eyes quickly, so I figure I'm probably not going to be DLP-friendly. Still, I intend to check at least one unit out before I buy a digital PJ as this one's replacement.)

Patrick, looking at the link Justin provided, which 800 model do you have? I notice the only real difference is the horizontal scan rate and maximum resolution. Curious.

Kevin_Kr: Sharp M20X? I really am looking for a 16:9 native projector, I believe the M20 is 4:3, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Brae: It's the 800 Graphics version, which as you state, has a higher scan rate.

I paid Curt Palme $2000 CAD for my Barco Data 800 :frowning: It seems as though you guys got yours for a lot cheaper. :frowning:

Aaron,

that is what they are worth, probably about $1500 CAD now.. I assume Patrick just wants to get rid of his..
