Does anyone know where I can get some cheap speaker stands or good blueprints for building your own. I went out looking for speaker stands today and the cheapest I saw was $40 each(ultra crappy). I mean my speakers only weigh 20 pounds each I don't need a metal tower for them.

I think for speaker stands your best bet is ebay. I've purchased some very sturdy rear channel and front channel stands (complete with spikes) for around $20 per stand. Literally hundreds of listings so be patient and you can get a pretty good deal. Make sure you check the seller's feedback rating and don't buy from someone with more than about 5% negative feedback.
