front projector or lcos,please give opinions! (1 Viewer)

my recroom can be darkened for a max 90" front projector or a 60 inch sony sxrd or jvc lcos with 1080p input. I want best picture quality possible and can`t decide. I can also put a plasma or new 1080p sharp aquos in my living room but computer is downstairs and want to play movies and hdtv stuff thru my rgb to the tv.

Definitely front projector. What size is the room? What will your seating distance be?

I can sit between 11 and 12 feet from screen,the room is drywall with thicker carpet and rectangular.

You can definitely go bigger than 90" with a 12' seating distance. The rule of thumb with a HD projector is to sit back 1.5X screen width from screen. That would be a 8' wide screen(110" diagonal).

I have a 55 inch HD RPTV. I didn't know about projectors when I bought it. I wish I did. I would have gone with a projector in an instant. FYI, I use my tv for movies mostly. Occasionally, I watch some sports.
