Nice to join the forum community, hoping for some feedback and advice on my install
Here's What I've got thus far;
Matte black room, curtains on both side walls from screen to half way back in the room
Sony VPL500es projector to a 110 inch fixed screen. Screen is as high as I can get it- only 2.3 mtrs high ceiling
Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Blu Ray
Yamaha aventage 3070 receiver (aus/europe model)
Emotiva BasX A-100 2 channel amp for front speakers
Dynaudio excite X38 front speakers
Dynaudio excite X28 centre under screen
Dynaudio excite X14 surrounds and rear surrounds
Dynuadio IC17 ceiling speakers for rear Atmos/DTS X (yet to be installed)
SVS Sb-1000 sub (soon to be x2)
Now I have another pair of Excite X14 speakers which I had planned to install as front presence speakers at top sides of the screen. My original plan was to use the dialogue lift feature of the receiver to raise voices to mid screen level. I'm not so sure now and wondering if I should return the X14 and get another pair of IC17 to use as front Atmos/DTS X speakers. The vocal staging isnt as low as I thought, its not screen centre but not irritating either. I can raise the centre speaker maybe a few inches. Or will front presence work with dialogue lift in conjunction with Atmos and the rear Atmos ceiling placement
Hope all that makes sense?
Give my your thoughts please
