You might want to read the major thread about this release for exact details. It was mentioned it is mostly an extended panel discussion from a recent Fangoria convention.
It is a 26 minute or so convention tape with some actors babbling on. Could be interesting. Have no clue.
Would probably be of use only to the Diehard fans for the extra cost. There is nothing really all that cool on the disc for me to have spent the extra money. If there would have been stuff like more uncut scenes, a Jason game, a 3D part 3, stuff like that. I would have been all over it.
Those of us who got the set from Blockbuster. The bonus disc would have not warranted the extra money.
But, maybe you could pricematch with Circuit City's ad at Best Buy if you really want the bonus disc. It will be $54.99 there. Seems Circuit City will be the cheapest of the regular stores so far.
Target will be $54.99 (adjusted from $59.99) Best Buy (w/bonus) will be $57.99
They pretty much price match with alot a stores. I've taken flyers in from K-Mart, Target & Circuit City. The best thing to do is call and ask if these are not the stores you want to price match with.
Either way Best Buy is going to get my cash, besides I have a Reward Zone credit.
On another note, why is it that most of the time, Best Buy gets the bonus disc (South Park's pilot, Man on Fire)? Is it that they pay more for it? Do they produce the disc itself?
Most likely it will be wrapped inside the cellophane. I've never had to ask anyone for any bonus discs that were available only through Best Buy. I cannot see it already inside any of the DVD cases themselves. I'm sure over time the disc will pop up on ebay like the bonus disc for "Paycheck" and "Man on Fire". I've even seen the "Burn Book" that was available through Best Buy for the "Mean Girls" DVD. I also found out that there was a price change for Best Buy for this set. From $57.99 to $52.19.Kind of an odd price. Won't have to bother with price matching now. Hope this isn't just an on-line price.
