I found this cool measurement tool, and have been playing with it for a couple of days.

Room EQ Wizard

I've hooked up my Radio Shack SPL meter to the laptop, and took some measurements.

Celestion AVP + Velodyne CHT

The graphs look like they are begging for some room treatment. Both graphs show pronounced bump at 100Hz, and another one near 180 - 200Hz. The upper end drops off at 8KHz. Maybe that's caused by the limitation of the soundcard. As evidenced by the graphs, the sonic signatures are pretty similar between two systems. A bit of irony as Celestions costed me about 15% of Revels.
:rolleyes

I've used REW in the past -- it's very popular over at AVS . . . I'm assuming that's probably where you found it.

What correction file did you use for the meter? There is a general correction file and then one that Ilkka produced based on a comparison between his calibrated mic and his SPL meter.

I haven't used any correction file, other than the soundcard calibration I did on my own. I'll try the correction file. Hopefully it can smooth out some of the bumps in the graph. I'm probably using less than 10% of what this software is capable of right now. :D
