    Thanks, Tom! [IMG]
Not sure why the picture should out of focus during a high-quality transfer - do any of the Laserdisc / recent VHS editions have this problem?
    Anyway, thanks again!
Does anyone know of a site that sells the DVD that has an English language version? All the French sites I have looked at are in French only.

On the laser version, they added in scenes that were cut after the first release. These scenes were soft and lighter in color, but they don't look out of focus. [IMG]

Thanks, Oscar, but the site does not stock the DVD. [IMG]
Out Of The Past is also available from the same distributor who put out the Thing From Another World DVD - Edition Montaparnasse and I'd love to get my hands and that too.
    I'll get 'em eventually! [IMG]
    Thanks anyway!

john, the french word "flou" means sorta soft. Thing is I'm not 100% how to translate it wait I'll get google. I can't believe I need to take a dictionnary to translate a language which I use every day:b
well here it is. They call it fuzzy.

How many times does the picture get soft on your LD? if it is 3 times only it might be the same master:?

    Tom,
I just watched it with my 9 year old grandson(he doesn't know it now, but he will grow up to love 'em just like his gramps)last week and it's not more than 3 times.

So that completely out of focus remark, on the laser, would just mean kinda soft looking being those scenes were in less than good condition?

I bought a R2 Japanese version some months ago. The transfer was not as good as the LD I own. The Japanese version had removable subs.
