His star may have died, like all stars do, but his luminous performances remain.
Amour is a testament to his talents.
Though frail, he kept working till the end. A true professional.
He deserves his rest and all the accolades that will follow.

Trintignant went out roaring with the two final films in which he appeared, both directed by Haneke. His final appearance in the one directed by Lelouch, and which I haven't seen, was more of a sentimental gesture towards his big success, A Man and a Woman.
He was also quite a handsome man who had a fling with Bardot. His life was also touched by tragedy, but alas, no one is spared that.

Along with Haneke, Trintingnart performed for Lelouch, Rohmer, Costa-Gavra, Bertolucci, Scola, Kieslowski, Chabrol, Vadim and Truffuat.
