Francis Crick RIP

    A sad day for anyone who knows anything about science. Francis Crick, who along with James Watson discovered the structure of DNA, has died aged 88. During a long and distinguished career, Crick went on to uncover several key tenets of modern biology - he was definitely not a 'one hit wonder' (though discovering the structure of life itself is no mean feat).

    Certainly he will always be remembered as one of the greats of Biochemistry.

    A great loss; I remember first reading about this in High School, and writing a paper based on their work.

    He was a great researcher; our obligation is to find and train those who can follow in his - and his peers' - footsteps...
