I was wondering if I can get a FPTV for about $1,000.00 or less. Is this possible or am I a poor guy with a unrealistic dream?

The Panasonic PT-200U with the free draper screen runs in at $1100 I think from www.projectorpeople.com and several people here have jumped on that deal. The other PJ to look at in that price point is the Infocus X1. Do a search on either of these models on the internet and you'll find tons of information.

Apart from the Infocus X1, and Panasonic L200U, the other projectors to consider (maybe slightly more $) are the Panasonic L300U and the Sanyo Z1. These are the most popular digital entry level projectors.

Andrew, there is plenty of information right here in this forum in this regard...
