Hello this is my first post to HT forum. I've been reading for a couple of weeks. My question is has anyone built their own screen for front projection. I was planing on building my own and I wanted to try to get some ideas. So far I've only seen screen material on ebay.I dont know if this stuff is any good. Does anyone have any experience with it good or bad. It seems silly to me to buy a screen when I have access to professional framing equipment and moulding and such. Any ideas tips would be much appreciated. Oh by the way I plan on going with a 90" 4:3 screen if that helps. Gonna use an X1.

The blackout fabric stretched over the frame is the most common idea that I have seen. If you have a section left over you may try experimenting with various colours to paint onto the screen for the X1 that supposedly reduce rainbows.
