Wow, picture looks great here in HD. I'm cruious if any of you Philly fans can tell me who the young boy was who sang the national anthem. I know his name is Timmy Kelly, but what is his story?

    Lots of tears, very moving.

    Peace,

Fox NFL HD blows...can't wait for the game to start on CBS.

There is no comparing the two. I wish the Superbowl was on CBS this year.

Fox's close ups look decent but the wife angles look like 480p.

The wife angles look great when you first get it, but over the years they droop and sag. [IMG]

    oops, Wide Angles [IMG]

But still, 1 minute of watching the pregame show on CBS is far far better than any shot on Fox earlier.

Anybody know the story behind the kid?

I for one am thankful that the Superbowl is on Fox this year as my local CBS affiliate is not broadcast HD.

Seriously though, I noticed the same thing about the wide angles. Has fox not upgraded their cameras or something? Or are they simply upconverting the old 480p signal to 720p?

Maybe there is hope they will get there act together for the superbowl.

If you go to the Eagles web site they have a story on Timmy Kelly. From what I remember he is blind and has mild cerebal palsy. He has sung before at Ealgles games.

Is it just me or my service, or do Fox HDTV sports broadcasts look notably worse than the ones on CBS and ESPN?

Fox's wide angle shots look worse than CBS's. Don't know about ESPN-HD since I don't have it. CBS's wide angle shots are just more crisper looking, not as muddy looking as Fox's.
