Just saw a sensational production of the play, which made me want to see the film again. I was surprised to find that it hadn't been released to dvd yet, anywhere.

I can only hope that Fox has plans for this sometime soon.

I haven't even seen the film yet, but it certainly did look interesting. A nice DVD release would be all the inspiration I would need.

I'd buy it. The Crucible is one of the great works of American theatrical literature and Hytner's film was a first-rate (albeit underrated) adaptation.
