I'd be perfectly happy with a Gladiator or Terminator 2 sized case. I have never had any problem with the additional flap, and it helps with storage. I can't help but thinking it conserves plastic as well. Only go to double case size if the "collectors booklet" requires it.

If the idea behind going two discs over a DVD-18 is 'perceived value' wouldn't the thicker case then also provide more 'perceived value'?

Steven, I don't think we'll have to worry about the sound & video. :)
Personally, I like Fox's use of the double Alpha. You can easily pick out the Die Hards, Big Trouble in Little China, Cleopatra & Patton in my collection. It makes these wonderful discs stand out in a packaging sense, conveying the greatness of the wonderful discs within.
I guess by that logic some of the MGM discs should come in a plastic sleeve...
