Fox Searchlight creates new genre label and signs Guillermo del Toro to overall deal (1 Viewer)

Variety says Fox Searchlight is creating a new label for genre films, and Guillermo del Toro has signed a new overall deal with them in the wake of The Shape of Water's success:

This would normally make a lot of sense, but feels extremely confident in the wake of the impending Disney merger, since no one seems to know for sure what Disney is going to do with Fox.
