Patrick,
Recently, a little bird informed me that 2002, will be the 75th anniversary of the theatrical release of "Sunrise", so fans of this great film might be jumping for joy in the coming new year.

Mr Crawford did not actually say there would be a DVD release, only that 2002 marks the 75th anniversary. Fox, if indeed they own this film, has so far shown no inclination to release silent films.

A must, having just seen The Last Laugh for the first time and being a great fan of Nosferatu & Faust I desperately want to see Sunrise.
