I realize this isn't one of your most prized possessions but I've GOT to see this movie! An audio commentary with the director, stars, and Gore Vidal would be a welcome addition.
I've wanted to see the film in widescreen for years. I'm hoping that the MYRA episode of AMC's Backstory will renew interest in this camp classic. Bring on the DVD!

I've never seen it but I've wanted to for years. I saw the AMC backstory on it the other day and it got my hopes up. The clips they showed were in Pan and Scan but were of such high quality video that I am assuming Fox has restored the film.
Yes, Neil, there's someone else who likes the film of MYRA. I've had the pan and scan VHS for years before seeing the film on cable with a widescreen opening credits sequence (You've Got to S-M-I-L-E to be H-A-double P-Y). It's now been years since that cable airing and still no sign of a widescreen home version. I really want a widescreen DVD of MYRA. The film is so horrible, you gotta laugh!
-Jerry
Not to mention the attention focused on the film with the Vanity Fair article in this year's "Hollywood" issue.
Fox eventually released BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS on tape and LD. I'm sure they'll get around to MYRA BRECKINRIDGE (and Meyer's THE SEVEN MINUTES, while we're at it).

This would be a hoot on DVD and a major supplement has already been produced.
