I asked about a DVD release for this wonderful film but sadly it's not being considered by FOX right now.
I'm hoping some HTF members will reply to this thread in support of this touching and funny movie.
John Candy made me smile and made me wanna give him a big hug in this flick. Candy plays a warmhearted cop who still lives with his harsh "doesn't mince words" irish mother and everything is fine until he falls for a girl played by Alley Sheedy (hope I spelled her name right!) who happens to be the person who "pretty" up deceased people in a funeral home, often making them look like famous movie stars. Of course mother doesn't approve of the "italian ghoul".
Candy attempts to date her but is always made to feel guilty and often has hilarious nightmares about what happens to his mother when he's out.
Anyway, who wants this film on DVD? Let's make Mr. Staddon notice!
