"Editor in Chief Lee Pfeiffer and his friend and colleague Eddy Friedfield have been busy providing commentary tracks for 20th Century Fox's upcoming DVD special editions of spy movies from the Cold War era.
"These include a re-release of both Our Man Flint and In Like Flint in SE form for the first time. Other titles include The Chairman (aka: The Most Dangerous Man in the World), The Kremlin Letter and The Quiller Memorandum..."
And sure enough, deepdiscountdvd has The Kremlin Letter up for pre-order November 7.
Okay. Why the devil doesn't the R&H boxed set include Flower Drum Song? And do we know if Oklahoma is a better transfer from its recent release?? And is the King and I the restored version, or the same old version that's been available for years and years?
I plan to do a very extensive/exhaustive investigation of the box set. I don't have any of the newer single-disc releases, but I'll certainly compare King and I to my old 4x3 lbx copy and I'll do my best to comment on Oklahoma as well.
I believe that Oklahoma is going to use the same 2 masters for the last disc.
The cover art for the region 1 Rodgers and Hammerstein collection is extremely disappointing. The artwork on the region 4 boxset I purchased a couple of months ago is absolutely magnificent.
