Fox seems to be focusing its DVD efforts on recent titles. But where are the pre-50s films? More specifically, where are the truly significant titles that are generally regarded as classics?... The Grapes of Wrath, My Darling Clementine, and The Ox-Bow Incident.
I realize these titles must require more effort to release. If Fox doesn't want to allocate resources for these titles, why not sell Criterion Collection the distribution rights for a limited period? These priceless properties would be in good hands while still providing some revenue to your company. It would also give a new generation of film lovers a chance to enjoy these films.
Thanks for listening.

Grapes of Wrath missing? That is the mystery of DVD releases I will NEVER understand.

All three of these are must-own classics. Mr. Staddon inferred several times during the chat that Fox would be looking at their classic library and, depending upon the sales from a few "feelers," would decide where to go with their library. Let's encourage them to release more classics by supporting the sales of the ones coming out over the next six months.

The Grapes of Wrath is one of my favorite books, and the movie is very faithful to the book, and a classic on its own merit, so a DVD of this would be very much welcomed!

I know no one ever asks for this title (besides myself, that is), but I NEED The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie on DVD. One of the few reasons I still have a VCR, I taped it in widescreen off of AMC. This great film deserves a DVD release and good transfer.

The Grapes of Wrath is a great, great film that deserves a DVD release. There are a lot of classic Fox titles I would love to see on DVD, but this & Laura are at the top of my list.
