FOX - Boondock Saints - Not 16:9 Enhanced?? (1 Viewer)

I'm wondering why this title is not 16:9 enhanced. Fox at one time said that all titles would be 16:9 enhanced after The Abyss. The packaging even advertises it as such.

Can Peter or someone who has contact with Fox please elaborate on this discrepancy?

This is a title we picked up the distribution rights as part of a larger package and the 3rd party we are working with did not want to spend the money on remastering the DVD as we wanted to.

We had to distribute the DVD as it already existed before the Fox deal was put in place.

Giving Chuck the benefit of the doubt here Peter, I think he just means the unfortunate situation, and not your explanation. At least, I hope that was his meaning. Anyway, your input on these matters, and the speed in which you often offer it, is greatly appreciated!

Peter... I HOPE You have great news and will tell us that you plan on getting the rigts to re-release this title with a brand new transfer. This sounds horrible. I have the Canadian release and aside from the 5.1 audio and few extras, not sure if this is really worth it.
This sounds EXACTLY like the Canadian Lions Gate release transfer :frowning:
