Today, Foul Play. The late Colin Higgins got his big break in Hollywood in a most unusual way: after meeting producer Edward Lewis while working as a part-time chauffeur and pool boy for a wealthy Los Angeles family, he ended up having his script Harold and Maude (1971) being filmed by Hal Ashby for Paramount Pictures. While not a success initially, that film later attained cult status and his second script, Silver Streak (1976), attained both critical and commercial success. Buoyed by that success, Higgins dusted off his script for Foul Play and returned to Paramount, this time making his directorial debut. Kino has licensed the movie from the studio for its UHD Blu-ray debut.

I remember seeing this on opening day at the Loew's Cine Theater in NYC. I fell under Goldie Hawn's magic spell and have been smitten ever since.

Thanks for the great review. I bought this hoping it would be an upgrade over the blu-ray.

This is one of my favorite films of the 70s. It's a delight whenever I see it. IMO, Goldie Hawn was never better, and this begins a series of Chevy Chase movies that I have always enjoyed.

Now, when can we get a 4k blu-ray of Seems Like Old Times with Goldie and Chevy?
