I just read this on another site - and was shocked when I saw it. Sad news. The worst part is he and his wife died while doing charity work. :frowning:

I used to enjoy watching Press Your Luck when I was a kid. You'll be missed, Peter. RIP.

what's unfortunate timing is that MSN had an article on the 10 greatest game shows of all time that was put online early Monday, before news of the plan crash (perhaps even before it happened) came out, and the guy who wrote the article slammed Tomarken - saying he was the flattest host on the list.

This was probably my favorite game show ever, but even he surely knew that we would all be thinking "Whammy" when he died. Sad story.
