For now I would only want to play videos downloaded from YouTube that are on USB drives. Do not have the remote and so I write to inquire if I can launch videos from the front panel? Guidance sought

Didn't Best Buy at one time offer to buy these back from those who purchased an extended warranty because the actual manufacturer went out of business and no longer offered firmware updates?
