I just spoke to a rep of Trilogy Entertainment who produces the Outer Limits tv show. I asked them about the show coming to dvd. She told me they are in discussions. She said the discs could be 2 months away to a year away. I asked if they were looking into doing season box sets. She said it might be that way or in theme sets (ie-Robots, Monsters). I told her that most people don't like "best of's or Theme sets" because someones favorite episode is always left out. I told her about this forum and she was very interested and took down the web address to check it out. They are looking for feedback regarding this. I am hoping all fans of the show will leave their thoughts for this show on dvd. Hopefully, we can influence their decision making on this and maybe bring this show out sooner rather than later.

Box sets in air date order - whole seasons, please. Better yet, the whole shebang at one time - I'm game.

I like all my TV shows on DVD in season box set format. Bring on the Outer Limits! [IMG]

Themed sets definitely! A season boxed set for an anthology show with no continuity is pointless and just too expensive.

I would prefer box sets. Theme, season, air date order, doesn't matter.

Boxed season sets is the only way I'll consider purchasing this series ( or any other television series for that matter. ) If the series is released in 'best of' or 'themed' sets, I'll have to unhappily forgo purchasing your product.
Two other suggestions ( that aren't make it / break it for me ) are...
    1. Package the sets so that the episodes are arranged by air date.
    2. Please consider including the Sand Kings pilot in Season One. ( As a special supplementary disc if so required. )
    Thanks!
    - Walter.

Recipe for success with TV on DVD

Take 1 cup of cool show

    Mix with DVD format

Sprinkle with extras such as commentary and 5.1 tracks

When placing on baking sheet, no more than 4 hour-long episodes per disc

Bake the ENTIRE BATCH at 350 until tasty

In order and all of them, that's the way to go with TV on DVD

I don't care about boxsets with the new Outer Limits. They would be nice, but so long as there are at least three and no more than four episodes per disc I'm happy. Of course it goes without saying that I want all releases in transmission order.
I tend to avoid "best of" sets as
    a) I don't want to repurchase these eps when a season set is eventually released;
    b) What I consider are the best eps usually differs from what the studios think are.
    edit:
Further, I would love commentaries on key episodes. Sandkings is a really strong pilot episode for example, and deserves one.
Also episode trailers, if available, don't take up much space, and are always fun to watch.
5.1 remixes would be great too.

I would purchase the original and the new Outer Limits only if they are released in season box sets, in original air order. I will not do for any series what I was forced to do with The Twilight Zone.

I thought we were talking about the original Outer Limits, which is what I want. I've never seen the new one.
