Was "Fools Parade" with Jimmy Stewart, George Kennedy & a very young Kurt Russell ever released on DVD, or even VHS format for that matter ? I recall seeing this film on TV several years ago and have never seen or heard anymore about it.

Does anyone know anything about this film and if it is ever going to be released on DVD ?? This is a great movie and deserves to be released for all to see.

May not be the best solution, but the whole movie, Fool's Parade, has been posted on youtube, so those of us who have never seen it can at least watch it in some format.

This appears every few months on either HDNet Movies, Sony Movie Channel HD or MGMHD, can't remember which but I've watched it on one of them.

I've never seen Fools' Parade (1971), but I still wish that it would finally get released on a Region 1 factory pressed DVD.

I don't want it to ever get released on a DVD-R.

I'm totally finished with buying any TV Shows or movies on DVD-R.

Fools' Parade is the only movie that James Stewart ever did with Kurt Russell.

Here are the 42 James Stewart movies that I own on DVD or Blu-Ray,

    Made for Each Other (1939)

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)

    Destry Rides Again (1939)

The Shop Around the Corner (1940)

    The Philadelphia Story (1940)

    Pot o' Gold (1941)

    Ziegfeld Girl (1941)

    It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

    Magic Town (1947)

    Call Northside 777 (1948)

    Rope (1948)

    The Stratton Story (1949)

    Winchester '73 (1950)

    Broken Arrow (1950)

    Harvey (1950)

The Greatest Show on Earth (1952)

    Bend of the River (1952)

    The Naked Spur (1953)

    The Glenn Miller Story (1954)

    The Far Country (1954)

    Rear Window (1954)

    The Man from Laramie (1955)

The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)

The Spirit of St. Louis (1957)

    Night Passage (1957)

    Vertigo (1958)

    Bell Book and Candle (1958)

    Anatomy of a Murder (1959)

    The FBI Story (1959)

    Two Rode Together (1961)

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962)

Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation (1962)

How the West Was Won (1962)

    Cheyenne Autumn (1964)

    Shenandoah (1965)

The Flight of the Phoenix (1965)

    The Rare Breed (1966)

    Firecreek (1968)

    Bandolero! (1968)

    The Cheyenne Social Club (1970)

    The Shootist (1976)

    The Big Sleep (1978)

The only movie that I've ever bought on DVD-R is The Brass Bottle (1964)
