Focal has today unveiled the Aria K2 936 floorstanding speaker (priced at $5,990 per pair), which will be available from the first quarter of next year. The ash-grey finish speaker, manufactured in France, is a new edition to the Aria 936 line and includes the company’s “iconic” K2 cone.
The small-footprint, three-way speaker includes three bass drivers and a multi-port ‘PowerFlow’ system to deliver its associated sonic impact. The K2 936 also features a floor facing vent for greater depth perception, an aluminum/magnesium TNF tweeter for better treble response, and a rigid MDF construction for lower vibration and improved neutrality.
Focal says that the signature yellow 6.5-inch K2 sandwich cone in aramid fiber was revealed by Focal in 1986, and the company has continued to evolve its performance by concentrating on driver rigidity, lightness and damping. The latest drivers...
