FM dipole antennae

    hey i've made 2 FM dipole antennaes....one out of cheap 18g speaker wire and one out of the 300 ohm twinlead wire that's supposed to be used for this purpose. question is...how come i can't tell any difference at all between them? am i supposed to?

    they both work? whatever. I always like 300ohm because of its stiffness I only need 2 or 3 pushpins to mount it taut on the wall...

    Don't know if that means they're both great or both stink equally well. This link will provide a means of making an antenna out of 300 ohm. See how yours compares!
