Flixster today announced its popular movie application is now available on Panasonic's line of 2013 VIERA Connect(TM)-enabled devices including Smart VIERA HDTVs and Blu–ray Disc players.

By simply launching this new Flixster app, consumers will be able to watch and enjoy their UltraViolet collection from the comfort of their living room.

I actually like the idea of being able to access Ultraviolet content directly from a HDTV. Glad to see that Panasonic is the first to do this.

There's a Vudu app on the PS3. Panasonic is late to the party.

Panasonic is definitely not the first to do this. Many manufacturers, including Sharp, LG, Samsung, Vizio,Toshiba, and Mitsubishi, all have Smart TV's with vudu apps built in. In fact, so has Panasonic, for a few years now.
