I'm looking forward to this as well. I bought season 1 less than a week ago and breezed through the entire set. Watching these again after so many years is definitely a treat for me, and I hope I don't have to wait too long for S2 to hit shelves.

    As for season 2

    I love this particular episode.

A star for, 55. THE MAILMAN COMETH (P-55)*, too.

This one reminds me of, The Honeymooner's

Amazing how many Flintstones episodes "borrowed" plot ideas from the Honeymooners. Alot of the plots are taken from the Honeymooners' "Lost Episodes". Maybe the thinking was that since those episodes were thought to be lost forever, people might think the idea originated with the Flintstones. Of course the Honeymooners was just one of the many shows whose ideas were incorporated into the Flintstones. Other shows included I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke, Bonanza, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and many more. While I know people who complain how unoriginal the Flintstones were because of this, I feel it was a big part of the show's "charm". Let's not forget...these ideas originated in Bedrock, millions of years ago! [IMG]

My all time favorite is one we won't see for awhile.
Its the one with the kid's party and the office party.

"Well how about pin the tail on the clown?!"

Don't forget Life of Riley, I would say Flinstones one ups Honeymooners+Riley, with later excursions into My Favorite Martian, etc.

Is Season 2 confirmed????????? I bought Season 1 on LD many years ago and no other Season Box sets followed. Not releasing every season on DVD would be criminal [IMG]

    Can't wait too.

Season one seems to be selling very well so far

I just hope Warner adds a few more xtras like some commentaries would be nice although I realise most of the people involved in the original are probably deceased

This episode is also notable for a rather racy line that slipped right past the censors.

Barney proclaims, "I think my money is better than the government's, and I'm going to be spending the whole day shoving it!"

I bought both the Flinstone & Scooby sets on DVD and I have a question, why is the video on the Flinstones set like five times better than the Scooby Doo? Scooby Doo came out almost ten years later and it doesn't look much better than it does on television, there is still the dirt and specs you'd see on TV. Flintstones looks almost picture perfect and the color on the DVD is magnificent.

Scooby Doo is also missing some seconds of footage in a weird glitch during the opening credits of Episode 17.
