No matter what happens, the number that you will end up getting by taking a number, adding the digits, and subtracting their sum from the original, it will always end up being a multiple of 9.

Oh, btw the trick is that the result is always divisible by nine.

Then again they have to change them, otherwise the same synbol would pop up again and again, and even I would be able to understand that it is a trick. (Then again I knew it was going to be a trick even before testing it)
