What is the best way to fix a scratched PS2 DVD videogame? Does anyone know of any competent DVD repair kits I should buy? The scratches are all hairline size and after six months of perfect play it is finally beginning to occasionally freeze. None of my other PS2 games freeze so I know its not a hardware problem.

    Thanks for your help.

I generally get my DVD's from Netflix, and it seems half of them freeze right at the best part. I have started polishing each one before I use it. It has really helped. I use a plastic visor polish called ILC Haze away, check your local automotive supply or motorcycle dealer. I did put a Disk Dr. on my Christmas list.

I used the Disc Doctor on a couple of bad dvd's. Took out the scratches, and they play great. This is not meant to repair deep gouges, only small scratches.

I use ScratchOut on my dvd's and cd's. It does a good job. Others use plastic scratch removers from Novus and Meguiar's. I heard they do a better job than ScratchOut but costs more.
