I got the set from Circuit city last sunday, paid $1710 plus tax, delivered. I also bought the 4-year ESP from them @ $350.
hornestly, I was disappointed when it was just out of box. wife almost had me return it. the image was blurry and grainy. I spent two nights on calibrating it: openned box and changed both optical and electronic focus. the blue is still not sharp, I'm not sure whether I should return it for this reason. anyway, spent hours and hours doing the 64-point convergence and resulted in great improvement on image quality. DVD is much better and very enjoyable now.
watching regular TV (dishnetwork) is still not even remotely close to DVD. however, dish is not good on my 27" wega either...
