Due to space issues I decided to build a stand/sub combo for my Adire 81's. Here they are:
    The Jones "SS" (sub/stands)
I'm quite pleased with the results. I wanted the "SS" to sound similar to my "junior" sub and it does as they share the same internal volume. Mostly I'm really enjoying having an actual sound stage again similar to what it was with my 281's [IMG]
FWIW - Here's what it looked like before the "SS" Old setup
Note: at this point I'm only running one of the subs. Once I save up some $ for a new amp and another Shiva I'll see what dual 12's can do.
    Thanks for checking em' out.

Looks incredible Eric! You continue to do very fine work. Color me impressed. [IMG] Are you still using your sonotube sub or has that been phased out (or into one of the new subs)?
    Regards,

    VERY VERY NICE! [IMG][IMG][IMG]
A fantastic job on the whole thing! Incrediable job with your Material Wrap as this can be VERY tough to do with a full cabnit wrap like you choose. And those Birch Feet, mmmmm such a yummmie look.. The DISC grills look great and the binding posts (with what appears) to be brass screws to mount them, another great touch of class!

A beautiful thing to behold and will surely motivate others to what can been done in the world of DYI. The look of anything DIY is only held back by your imagnation. And Eric has the abilitys to pull this off oh so well! A sub/stand look, that will have others certainly thinking.
    Quick Question:
Binding posts, whos and how much?
    Are those PE's jumbo posts....
    Regards
    Geoff

    Hi Eric,

What type of material did you used to wrap the speakers and is it available on-line? Also, can you shed some light on how it was done?

    Thanks in advance,

    Derrick
