Geese, for a while there, it appeared there was a renaissance of TV Movie releases on DVD: THE DAY AFTER; NIGHT STALKER; DUEL; EWOK movies; BURNING BED and bunch of others.

    Now...nothing.

    Where are

    SYBIL
    THE EXECUTION OF PRIVATE SLOVIK
    SOMETHING ABOUT AMELIA
    BITTER HARVEST
THE SUMMER OF MY GERMAN SOLDIER
    ANGEL CITY
PROMISE (About the only Hallmark title not out yet, and the finest, starring James Woods and James Garner)
    FRIENDLY FIRE
    THAT CERTAIN SUMMER
    SURVIVING
    SOMETHING EVIL (Spielberg)
    LENA: MY 100 CHILDREN
    DAVID
    GOD SAVE THE CHILD
    HEARTSOUNDS
    GO ASK ALICE

etc. etc. This list is very extensive, and all titles are from the days when network t.v. was actually making relevant, beautifully-produced little films that would blow the socks off any but the best cable-produced movies of today. Yes, the networks had balls once.

I agree. This is still very much an untapped area of potential DVD releases. Many titles, like DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (1973, the movie about creepy little gnome-like beings terrorizing Kim Darby) and THE BERMUDA DEPTHS (1978, in which Connie Sellecca has a psychic connection with a monstrously huge sea turtle), would sell quite well, if properly promoted. They are remembered (or half-remembered) by many more people than one might think, primarily by those in their 30s-40s, who saw them in primetime (or in re-runs) when they were kids. Several fine films, as well as entertaining B-movie junk food, were produced exclusively for the small screen.

I'd like to see these TV-movies hit legit DVD in R1--

    CBS (probably via Image Entertainment):

    VISIONS... (1972)
    WORLD OF DARKNESS, THE (1977)
    WORLD BEYOND, THE (1978)

    Columbia:

    BLACK NOON (1971)
LAST OF THE GOOD GUYS, THE (1978)

    Fox:

DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW (1981)
    NORLISS TAPES, THE (1973)
    SANDCASTLES (1972)
    SPECTRE (1977)
    STOWAWAY TO THE MOON (1975)
STRANGE & DEADLY OCCURANCE, THE (1974)
    TRIBES (1970)
    VAMPIRE (1979)
    WHEN MICHAEL CALLS (1972)
WHERE HAVE ALL THE PEOPLE GONE? (1974)

MGM (via their ABC Films/Disney deal):

COLD NIGHT'S DEATH, A (1973, aka THE CHILL FACTOR)
GUESS WHO'S BEEN SLEEPING IN MY BED? (1973)
    PLAYMATES (1972)
TRILOGY OF TERROR (1975, reissue of the OOP Anchor Bay DVD)

    Paramount:

    BROTHERHOOD OF THE BELL (1970)
    LOVE WAR, THE (1970)
    NIGHT CHASE (1970)
    SAVAGES (1974)
    SOLE SURVIVOR (1970)
    STALK THE WILD CHILD (1976)
    TWO FOR THE MONEY (1972)
    WOMEN IN CHAINS (1972)

    Universal:

    DEADLY DREAM (1971)
    DRAGNET 1966 (1969)
    EVIL ROY SLADE (1972)
    FEAR NO EVIL (1969)
    KILLDOZER (1974)
    LITTLE GAME, A (1971)
    LIVE AGAIN, DIE AGAIN (1974)
    LONGEST NIGHT, THE (1972)
    LOST FLIGHT (1969)
    MOVIE MURDERER, THE (1970)
    RITUAL OF EVIL (1970)
    SAVAGE BEES, THE (1976)
    SCREAMING WOMAN, THE (1972)
STRANGER ON THE RUN (1967, directed by Don Siegel)
    VICTIM, THE (1972)

    Warner:

    BAD RONALD (1974)
DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (1973)
    RUNAWAYS, THE (1975)
SOMEONE'S WATCHING ME! (1978, directed by John Carpenter)
    STRANGER WITHIN, THE (1974)

    Current owners unknown:

    BERMUDA DEPTHS, THE (1978)

I have another list, and some of these have been mentioned here in years past...

    Back Home - Miniseries
    Carly's Web
The Girl, the Gold Watch, & Everything
If You Could See What I Hear
    Leave Yesterday Behind
    Love Struck
    Miami Hustle
    The Night Before
    Noah
    Not Quite Human
    The Parent Trap Hawaiian Honeymoon
    The Parent Trap 2
    The Parent Trap 3
    Prime Risk
    Raptor Island
    Ronnie & Julie
    Wedding Day Blues

As other TV movies that have already come out run around $10 or so, I'm sure they would sell pretty well.

I'd be interested in these Disney movies if they ever were released:

The Girl Who Spelled Freedom (1986)

    Mr. Boogedy (1986)

The Absent Minded Professor (1988 - with Dean Anderson)

I'd have to think on some others.. my memory is terrible that way ;)

"Rearview Mirror", one of the best made-for-TV crime dramas ever made, is still MIA.

1985's Gulag, originally airing on HBO, would be a great candidate for DVD.

Scott Bakula made a TV movie where he played a pilot whose transatlantic flight runs out of fuel - great movie.

The Alaska survival drama "Anything to Survive".
