Hmmm, I will wait and see how the space combat turns out, if that turns out cool then I will definetely be picking the title up. I just hate the fact that they make you buy the game and then pay for it each month. What they should do is pull an AOL, give the disc out for free and then charge'em. I think with that tactic they could get a lot more people to sign up, which is where the money is at.

Given the scope of the game, I don't think it's feasible to give away the game for free and then charge a monthly fee. From a business perspective, I would think that any fan of Star Wars would gladly pay for the game and the monthly fee.
This game looks monumental in size and depth, and I don't think they'll make the late 2002 date they're shooting for. It looks very nice, though, and has me really considering getting a new computer just for this game..wow

The space expansion is going to be released a few months after the initial release, (hence the name "expansion"
To begin with, the game will be primarily world based.
You sure you can wait that long?
