For those of you asking about the MaxCaliber 12150 driver I was using in my plans, here it is.
    [IMG] [IMG]
    It is a 12" driver, 150oz magnet, 2" peak-to-peak excursion. Some other features/specs...
    - dual 4 ohm voice coils
    - dual spiders for quick return (good for music)
    - qes of 0.37
    - qms 0f 8.77
    - qts of 0.36
    - mms 0f 180g
    - vas of 56L
    - power of 450W rms
I am using a 4 ft^3 enclosure and plan on driving it with 350W rms. Originally I was going to use their 15" driver but the 12" has a greater excursion and moves more air than the 15" does. The bottom line is more beef in a smaller package.

Was the 15" made before this new 12" driver? Just curious as to why the 15" wouldn't have the same sort of p-p excursion numbers that its 12" brethren would. Unless the 12" is of a different line from the maker.
So how much was this bad boy driver and where do you get them?

Boy it's a beauty for sure. Who builds there driver?
It looks very much like the ICBM's Im running. The basket and cone appear to be clones. Only the magnet structure looks sightly different. Even that looks real close with the ICBM's being chromed and slightly larger. TS are the same you posted also -- except X-max and power -- ICBM is 16.5mm and power is 500 cont 1000 peek
Very weird. ummmm >>> gots me thinking.

Where did you buy and how much?
Do you have a customer service # for Max Cal....?

Thanks for the info and p-#
Though they are very close in many ways, they are not built buy the same company. ICBM is manufactured in USA. Assembly any way. Even price out very close.
Keep us up to date on your project MAX CAL.........
