After many months of hard work, joy and frustration, I finally consider myself done with my dedicated home theater. Im sure I'll keep tweaking, improving and upgrading, but at least I can enjoy watching a movie or two [IMG]

Now that is JUST PLAIN SWEEEEET! [IMG]
I really similar to the general look I've been envisioning for mine. Can't help but notice it looks somewhat like some of the better Dennis Erskine of DesignCinema designs. Did you hire him by chance?
Also, from glancing at the pictures, I can't quite make out the entrance treatment... Is it drapes over hard door(s)? Anyway, that is really great, congrats!

Very, very impressive. I especially like the detail work around the component rack, which looks great.
    Enjoy!

Ron, that is one of the nicest theaters I have seen in awhile. Just beautifull. Not gawdy, but very elegant. I am getting ready to begin work on mine in the next couple weeks, hopefully, and might have to "borrow" some ideas. Too bad I can't borrow your high ceilings.
    Again, much respect...

    Thanks everybody.
Patrick: Theaters like yours provided much of the inspiration and ideas to help make this possible. Thanks for sharing your great room also. It helped me sell the colors to the Mrs. [IMG]
Michael: Unfortunately I didnt use Mr. Erskine's service. I'm sure my project would've been much easier and turned out even better if I did. He deserves a lot of credit for sharing his ideas and designs with all of us. I incorporated some of his ideas with the proscenium and column HVAC integration. It really helped make the room. If you're out there Dennis, Thanks.
Nothing over the opening yet. A friend is making some curtains that will be tied back over the doorway. Higher powers ruled out French doors since she wanted the two rooms to blend. The other room is my next project. *cringe*

Beautiful. Looks like it came out of a A/V Interiors magazine.

That you very much everbody. Keep in mind, the room construction itself was not super expensive. No exotic materials and construction techniques. It just took time and a plan. I got so much motivation and so many ideas from people posting their theaters. It sure made things easier. If these pictures help anybody, Ill be happy.
Thanks again. And Wes, post those pictures!

    Very nice!
"Finally done" ?? In home theater circles there is no "finally done." It's more like "put on hold for the moment."
