I noticed with my harman kardon receiver, it takes a secondor two on some movies to pick up the signal correctly, and I'm using a straight optical connection. It didn't happen on my cheapo philips receiver, so I dunno why it does it - but I don't mind.

Yes, the conversion as well as your receiver taking time to lock onto the signal. If you can hard code the signal type to the input (i.e. DVD will always be DD) then it is virtually instant. I did this to fix the lag on my CD player (set the digital input to PCM on my receiver).

Good to hear that you got that worked out, and it's working well for you.

Yea I couldn't believe the difference when I hooked it all up. Almost made me watch all of my movies over. Now just need a sub!!

Thanks
